It is said that each day brings new lessons to be learnt with it,irrespective of age or anything else.Till today i used to believe that politics was nothing but a skill that had to be developed and only a few were born with it,but from what i observed today and from some past experience,I must admit that i was wrong.Politics is indeed a quality which comes inbuilt into our mechanism.Everyone plays politics at one point or another in one's life and needless to say,it is mostly for his/her own interest.Even a child plays politics by misleading someone else so that he can get what he desires.Politics is banal among adults...may it be in sports, career, office, anything and everything under the roof.
One may do it innocently or subconsciously or one may do it deliberately but the point is that everyone does it, though no one may admit it.Even in difficult situation, one will always think of safeguarding his interest first and then only will he think of helping others who are in the same situation. One may argue that this is an natural instinct and cannot be said to be politics but one forgets that in protecting his interest, the person either directly or indirectly may be posing obstacles in other people's path. Many times there may be an internal conflict of choosing between personal goals and general goals and this is where the person's nature, attributes come to the fore.
The views expressed here are personal and are most likely to be contentious.I would like to conclude by saying that in desperate situations even the most selfless people have said "EACH ONE ON HIS OWN"

POLITICS-AN INHERENT ATTRIBUTE???

POLITICS- AN INHERENT ATTRIBUTE???

hi all,
i guess this is an apt topic to choose given that we are going to face it very soon. . .the summer is here and so are the speculations about load shedding. As per the old saying "the true value of anything is known to someone who does not have it".In the comforts of my home in south Mumbai where we rarely face load shedding, people may simply ignore the grim situation thinking that it is not going to affect them. The point here is they also ignore the hardships people face due to load shedding.we are so used to electricity and the versatile applications it has, that living without it seems to be impossible. . . going along with our economic growth, there is a rise in demand for everything from oil to food and electricity is no exception.U will get a good idea by the fact that this year,in Maharashtra alone, there is going to be an estimated shortage of 900MW of power as compared to 200MW merely two years ago. This itself speaks volumes about the rise in demand and the supply being constant,we are in deep trouble.
BEST has geared up to buy 1000MW from other suppliers to overcome the problem. . .but is this the solution??? With demands rising day by day, unless we increase the supply and use our sources in a proper way,we are going to face POWER CRISIS.
The government may be accused of not doing anything about it but we too are to be blamed for the situation we are in and we are the ones who have to take up the responsibility of rectifying it.
